How to Get Involved with Habitat Restoration

Participate

Are you a vineyard, ranch or farm manager? Or do you have areas on your property that could be planted for habitat? Sign up for notices of upcoming workshops, events, information. Send a note to Cheryl Harris (cheryleharris AT sbcglobal DOT net) to be added to our e-list.

Volunteer

Contact us to find out how you can help: We are seeking people to help with monitoring, bird box construction and installation, photography, publicity, exhibit design, community outreach at Farmers Markets and other events. You can also plan to help out on special "work days" with the following organizations – planting native plants, removing invasive weeds or helping with trail work in natural areas. The Land Trust of Napa County, Solano Land Trust, Napa County Regional Park and Open Space District

Donate

Help extend this project to all members of the community. Your donations and membership will provide resources to develop and distribute informational materials, conduct site visits and habitat monitoring, and provide educational materials to schools, businesses and the community at large.

Learn

Find out more about our local wildlife (birds, butterflies and native plants) by attending our programs, joining in on Friday morning bird walks in the Napa area or other field trips. Inquire to Robin Leong about participating in one of our monitoring projects, such as the Benicia Christmas Bird Count. Or explore bird and wildlife websites such as California Audubon, National Audubon, Cornell Lab of Ornithology, and eBird.
