Saturday Bird Walks

Our Friday Bird Walks have been a great success, so NSAS will now periodically announce additional Saturday field trips, organized and run very similar to the Friday Bird Walks. Like the Friday walks, these extra Saturday field trips may be organized on short notice, and the destination will usually be close enough that the trip only lasts half a day. Unlike the Friday Walks, the Saturday Walks will not always meet at the same carpool location, and the start time and leaders will vary as well. These extra Saturday trips will not be held every week; we will announce them as we are able to plan them and find leaders.

For both Friday and Saturday field trips, the details are put on the web site but we also email the details to everyone on our Field Trip email list. If you plan to attend Friday or Saturday bird walks, these emails are very helpful. Go to our Email Sign-up page to request to receive Field Trip email announcements.

We have always offered monthly field trips from September through June. These are also normally scheduled on Saturdays and these will continue to happen. These monthly trips are usually planned out and the details are on the calendar well in advance, and these trips may take a little longer (typically ending mid-afternoon) and involve a more lengthy drive, often outside Napa & Solano Counties.
