Description: Pt. Reyes is one of the best stopovers on the West Coast in the Spring & Fall for migrating passerines. Come, join us to explore some of Pt. Reyes’ best locations on the Outer Point. We will visit the Lighthouse Point, Chimney Rock/Fish Docks, Nunez & Mendoza Ranches and RCA as well as possible inland locations like White House Pool, based on time and the most recent bird sightings. June is one of the best times for rare Eastern migrants. Species such as Prairie, Black & White, Black-throated Green, Blackburnian, Chestnut-sided, and Bay-breasted Warblers have been known to show up at this time along with a number of uncommon flycatchers such as Hammonds, Least and Dusky, Sparrows such as Grasshopper, Brewers & Clay-colored, as well as late Western Migrants. We’ll bird all day as long as the birds keep coming and as long as participants would like.
