Field Trip: Junior Audubon Walk - Napa CreekDate: Saturday November 12, 2016Time: 8:00 AMNSAS continues its kid-friendly birding group, Junior Audubon, for teens and pre-teens and any parents who want to attend from 8 am to 10 am. (NSAS Event) Details:Leader: Alex Greene Description: This young birder walk will celebrate the Napa Creek Monitors, a group of volunteer teen birders who have been surveying the birds of Napa Creek for one whole year! We’ll tour the creek and do a practice survey to see how the process works. Birds in this area are surprisingly diverse; we might find late warblers, flycatchers or even a White-throated Sparrow. Directions: We will meet where the Napa Creek crosses Seminary Street. There is a footbridge across the creek just south of the intersection between Seminary Street and Vallejo Street. This is where we will meet. Coordinator: Alex Greene at accidentalshrike@gmail.com submitted on October 03, 2016, at 03:05 AM PST |
