Field Trip: American Canyon Bird Walk & Migration Workshop

Walks and workshops aimed at beginning birders are held twice a month on Saturdays. All workshops begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by bird walks at 9:30 a.m. until noon. (NSAS Event)

Description: Ever wonder why migrating geese fly in a V? Or why migrating hawks nd vultures fly around in big circles? This month we will answer these questios nd explore why some birds migrate and others stay put.

The workshop begins at 9am., followed by a bird walk in American Canyon Wetlands at 9:30 a.m. until noon. Walks are on flat ground and appropriate for all ages (children must be accompanied by an adult). Please bring binoculars if you have them and water.

Directions: Meet at 9:00 a.m. at the American Canyon Wetlands parking lot on the corner of Wetlands Edge Road and Eucalyptus Drive.
