Field Trip: Kennedy Park/Napa CollegeDate: Friday November 28, 2014Time: 8:00 AMWeekly Friday trip (NSAS Event) Details:Leader: Murray Berner Description: Friday we will wander around a little bit of Kennedy Park and then look at the marshes, ponds, and brush on the back side of Napa Valley College. The latter is surprisingly active, the college will be closed, there are lots of sparrows, wrens, warblers and finches. A variety of small raptors. The college duck pond had 7 species of gulls last weekend, plus two kinds of merganser, neither of them Hooded. Napa carpool leaves from the east side of Sweeney's sport shop in Riverpark shopping center at 8:00 am. At Kennedy, we will begin at 8:10 at the main parking lot just past the picnic/playground greenspace at the end of Streblow Drive. Streblow is off Hwy 221, the first signal south of Napa. The "Breeding Birds of Solano Co" will be available for purchase beginning at 7:40 am at Riverpark, and again there at about 11:30 following the field trip.
