Field Trip: Partrick Road

Date: Friday May 18, 2012

Time: 8:00 AM

Weekly Friday trip (NSAS Event)

Details:

Leader: Murray Berner

Description: Partrick Road is a mix of hilly grassland and mixed forest. The grassland has Lazuli Bunting, Grasshopper Sparrow, Lark Sparrow to name a few. The three vireos sing in the forest, along with Pileated Woodpecker and Western Tanager. The walk is on a paved road with little traffic. I am taking another week off with a back injury but will be along next week for Gates Canyon or Las Posadas.

Napa carpool departs at 8:00am from the east side of Sweeney's gun and tackle in Riverpark shopping center. Since it's too much trouble for me to describe where to park on Partrick, everyone should meet at Riverpark. Read more about these trips on the Friday Bird Walks page.
