The Plumas Audubon Society is presenting the third annual Grebe Festival in Chester, CA from August 24 through August 26. - Not an NSAS Event

Details:

The three-day Grebe Festival in mid-August at Chester, California, focuses on the freshwater diving birds with uniquely lobed toes, Clark's and Western Grebes.

The festival features talks on grebe research, field trips and kayak tours of Lake Almanor, a famous home of Clark’s and Western Grebes.

There is a small registration fee to participate in the event, and part of the money is used to help fund the Plumas Audubon Society’s ongoing conservation, education and monitoring efforts in the Feather River Region.
