Event: Sunrise Bird Walk at Il Fiorello

Date: Sunday April 30, 2017

Time: 7:00 AM

We had so many happy birders at last fall’s walk that we are having another this spring! Join us for a sunrise bird walk with light refreshments at Il Fiorello Olive Oil Company’s olive grove located in Suisun Valley west of Fairfield. (NSAS Event)

There is an $8 fee that includes Il Fiorello’s seasonal scones, coffee service, and infused water. We will walk the perimeter of the property, through the groves, and along the irrigation canal for approximately two hours.

Over fifty species of birds have been seen on the property, including Bald and Golden Eagles and many other species of raptors, water birds, passerines, and owls.

Space is limited to 20 participants, and reservations are required. RSVP to Jane Hicks at hixholtz@earthlink.net or 707-553-8901 by Saturday, Apr 22, to reserve your space.

Bring: Sturdy walking shoes, sun protection, water, binoculars, and $8 fee for the event. Il Fiorello’s shop will be open after the walk, so bring cash or credit card if you would like to purchase their milled-onsite local olive oils, balsamic vinegars, and other items.

Please note: This is a working farm and commercial food facility. The terrain is uneven and may have animal holes. Due to commercial food licensing requirements, no outside food may be brought into the property due to food safety concerns.

Directions: 2625 Mankas Corner Rd, Fairfield, CA
