Event: Migration & Beginning Bird Walk in American Canyon Wetlands

Date: Saturday November 07, 2015

Time: 9:00 AM

Join us for a half-hour workshop on bird migration, followed by a beginning bird walk in American Canyon Wetlands. (NSAS Event)

Details:

Ever wonder why migrating geese fly in a V? Or why migrating hawks and vultures fly around in big circles? This month we will answer these questions and explore why some birds migrate and others stay put. Then we will walk through American Canyon Wetlands.

The workshop begins at 9am., followed by a bird walk in American Canyon Wetlands at 9:30 a.m. until noon. Walks are on flat ground and appropriate for all ages (children must be accompanied by an adult). Please bring binoculars if you have them and water.

Meet at 9:00 a.m. at the American Canyon Wetlands parking lot on the corner of Wetlands Edge Road and Eucalyptus Drive.
