JOIN US FOR A BIRD WALK and introduction to Nature Journaling

Leader: Beverly Black, Educator

Make a Nature Treasure Map, learn to draw birds, plants or other wildlife; and discover other sketching techniques to use when out in nature. Children will strengthen their observational skills by writing about and sketching what they observe. Start a lifelong passion--nature journaling! For families & children ages 7–12. Journal & pencils provided. Led by educator Beverly Black. No fee nor preregistration required.

Journaling while out in nature helps one to get more in tune with their surroundings. It allows you to focus and observe in much more detail the beauty of the natural world. Keeping a nature journal increases your observation skills as you learn to really see what is around you. It's not about making beautiful works of art-it's about appreciating and recording with drawings and words the beauty that is all around us; from the small dewdrop on a blade of grass to the soaring hawk in the sky.
