Event: Family Birding in Napa

Date: Saturday October 16, 2010

Time: 10:00 AM

An educational bird-watching experience for children and families at the Napa Treatment Ponds (NSAS Event)

Details:

This is a great event for families and children, or those who are new to birding. NSAS Educator Lore Dias and local birder Murray Berner will introduce visitors to the fun of bird-watching at the Napa Sanitation Treatment Ponds, one of the best places to see a variety of ducks, shorebirds and gulls. There will be an information table and a viewing station with 1 or 2 spotting scopes.

At the same time, the Napa Sanitation District will be having an Open House to celebrate its 65th anniversary. Click here to open a flyer and read more about the Open house.

The fun begins at 10 AM at the Soscol Water Recycling Facility, 1515 Soscol Ferry Rd., Napa, CA.
